Opening of the Buderim’s Men’s Shed

By Chloe Thompson

The open day was well supported on Saturday, 14 November with the wet weather keeping its distance until the end.

The fund raising event drew a lot of interest with a silent auction of two German divers watches; attracting serious competition with local member, Steve Dickson being one of the successful bidders raising $340. The raffle, including the ever famous Ray White bike donated by Rob Horne raised a whopping $3,052, bolstering the total raised to near $10,000; confirming the day a great success with the monies going towards the funding of the new shed site and construction.
