Our very own Shane Balmer and Mick Gibbon from Gloria Jean’s (pictured) joined forces for a charity fundraiser; together, they raffled a Ray White bike, raising approximately $600 for the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge. “The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge is a fantastic organisation” said Shane. “It’s responsible for having re-homed and having saved the lives of thousands of dogs and cats over the years”. “This is a cause that is very dear to both Mick and myself” said Shane.
“My Mother was very passionate about the Refuge”. “She managed the Refuge for 10 years and was responsible for a great deal of what you see there today”. “My Mother sadly passed away last September and I miss her greatly. I know this is only a small gesture but if it helps draw people’s attention to caring for these beautiful companions and also raises a bit of money for the Refuge, then it’s worth it” Shane said.
